FLORIDA AVENUE BRIDGE CLOSURE

The Florida Avenue Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 9 a.m. until noon for span lock repairs. The bridge will remain open to marine traffic and rail traffic during this closure.

Judge Seeber (Claiborne Avenue) Bridge – LA 39 and

St. Claude Avenue Bridge – LA 46

Workers replacing damaged aerial droop wires/cables at the Florida Avenue Bridge discovered unexpected complications today, therefore, the bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic on Monday, June 14th, as shown below to complete the work.

8:30 AM until 3:30 PM

FLORIDA AVENUE BRIDGE
The broken aerial droop wires/cables at the Florida Avenue Bridge have been repaired and the bridge is now open to all traffic and operating normally. However, the bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic again on Friday, June 11th, as shown below to allow replacement of the damaged cables.

ST. CLAUDE AVENUE BRIDGE – LA 46

ST. CLAUDE AVENUE BRIDGE – LA 46
As part of the ongoing roadway improvement project on St. Claude Avenue, the LADOTD has announced the following bridge and lane closures for work on the approach slabs at the St. Claude Bridge:

Saturday, May 1, 2021, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (5 hours):
Full closure of the St. Claude Bridge to all vehicular traffic, bicycles and pedestrians.
(Note: The bridge will remain raised and open to marine vessel traffic during this closure.)

Monday, May 3, 2021, 7:00 AM – Friday, May 21, 2021, 4:30 PM (3 weeks):
Right lane closed from Poland Ave. to Reynes St. (eastbound only), including the St. Claude Bridge.
