St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office investigating body found in Violet

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is investigating a body found shortly before 11 a.m. on Nov. 8 near a wooded area in Violet, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

The deceased male was found in the 5400 block of East Judge Perez Drive.

Foul play is not suspected at this time, but the cause of death is unclassified and will be determined pending an autopsy by the St. Bernard Coroner’s Office.
