The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a New Orleans woman for fatally shooting her boyfriend and the father of her child outside his place of employment this weekend, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Alexis King, 20, of the 6100 block of Royal Street in New Orleans, was booked with second degree murder in the case.
On Sunday, Feb. 14, at approximately 7 p.m., Sheriff Pohmann said, deputies responded to a call about shots being fired in the parking lot near the entrance of a business in the 8100 block of West Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a male victim lying on the ground in the parking lot of the business suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
