We have been advised that Danni Productions will be filming at Torres Memorial Park on Monday, November 23 from approximately 7AM to 3PM.

Filming will be concentrated at the corner of Dr. Meraux Blvd and Patricia Street and specifically at Shelter 4 and the adjacent parking lot on Patricia Street and playground.

Please be aware that during filming hours, vehicular traffic East and Westbound on Patricia Street, along the park, and traffic North and Southbound on Dr. Meraux Blvd, along the park, will be intermittently delayed for a few minutes at a time.

Other areas of the park will remain open to the public.

conducting extra patrols for holiday season

The hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season can leave us distracted, making us easy targets for criminals, St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

In an effort to keep St. Bernard Parish residents safe this Christmas, members of the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office Reserve Division will conduct extra patrols during the holiday season around local shopping centers on Fridays and Saturdays, beginning Nov. 27.

Free Ride Home Program For Holiday Season

St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann wishes everyone a Happy Holiday season and reminds them to call the Sheriff’s Office if they are in need of a safe ride home.

The program, which runs from Thanksgiving through Jan. 2, allows residents who have too much to drink during the holiday season to call the Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501 to receive a free ride home from a deputy, no questions asked.

A Sheriff’s Office deputy will pick you up and take you to your home in St. Bernard or, if you live outside the parish, they will take you to a Sheriff’s substation where you can make arrangements to be picked up by a friend or… More

St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office searching for missing Chalmette teen

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a Chalmette teen who has been missing since Nov. 7, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

Tiani Arrieta, 15, was last seen by her mother at their home in the 2300 block of Marietta Street in Chalmette shortly after 10 p.m. on Nov. 7 when she told her mother she was tired and going to bed. Tiani has not been seen or heard from since.

Tiani is a hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5’5” tall and weighs 180 llbs. Tiani was last seen wearing a cream colored hooded sweatshirt, and red jogging pants.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tiani is asked to contact the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501.

ARABI, LA – GWAVE PRODUCTIONS, LLC will be filming portions of its television
series at a private residence on Angela Street on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH
between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM.
There will be mild traffic control throughout the day as well as a street closure for safety
and filming purposes. Please take note of the impacted streets below:

2020 St. Bernard Property Tax notices mailed; Due by Dec. 31

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, in accordance with Louisiana law, has mailed the 2020 property tax notices via U.S. mail to parish property owners. Taxes must be paid by Dec. 31 before becoming delinquent.

Tax bills can be paid at the Sheriff’s Civil Tax Office located on the second floor of the Sheriff’s Annex, at 2 Courthouse Square in Chalmette. The Annex – which is raised above ground – faces Pakenham Drive and is the second of two buildings directly behind the Courthouse. Regular business hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect in
connection with armed robbery of Arabi business

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Monday afternoon in Arabi, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, Sheriff Pohlmann said, deputies responded to a call about an armed robbery that occurred at a business located in the 7400 block of West Judge Perez Drive in Arabi.
